Maths Number Facts
Children will only learn their key number facts by saying them repeatedly. Please support your child to chant the times tables and other number facts. Ask them quick recall questions as well as to count in multiples of the number forwards and backwards.

There are also many other online games and apps to support learning times tables.
All children will be tested periodically in class on all of the times tables that they should know. You will be kept informed about their progress.
By the end of Year 6, your child should:
- Know number bonds within 10, 20 and 100.
- Recall and use multiplication and division facts for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 times tables.
- Use knowledge of number bonds in decimal calculations e.g. 3-2.3=
- Use all multiplication and division facts in decimal questions e.g. 3x0.7= or 1.8÷6=
