Spellings – Tricky words/Common Exception Words

Some words just need to be learnt by heart as you can’t use phonological knowledge to spell them. Please make sure that you are spending time each week to practise at least 3 words. This will give your child so much confidence when writing. We will be re-testing these words half termly and feeding back on their progress. These words were handed out  more recently in Year 1. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you need another copy.
